The Youth Music Program – Powered by Coyote Studios
In partnership with Coyote Studios in Los Angeles, our Youth Music Program provides hands-on instruction in music fundamentals, studio production, and live performance.
The program gives young people access to real recording spaces, professional mentors, and opportunities to develop their creative voice. Every session builds technical skill, confidence, and collaboration.
Program Highlights:
🎤 Recording & Production: Learn to record, mix, and master tracks.
🎸 Instrument Training: Practice and performance guidance for guitar, drums, keys, and vocals.
🎧 Studio Etiquette: Professional experience in real studio settings.
🌟 Showcases & Performances: Perform at local events and concerts.

Connecting Cultures: Jamaica and Beyond
Our mission extends beyond borders. Through our community center in Jamaica, the Foundation provides workshops, instrument training, and safe spaces for youth to explore their musical gifts.
These international connections strengthen cultural understanding and create lifelong creative networks. Whether in West Covina, Los Angeles, or Kingston — our goal is the same: use music to build stronger, more connected communities.
Wildcane Community Center – Jamaica & Africa
The Odel Johnson Foundation proudly supports international community centers in Jamaica and Africa, expanding our mission beyond borders.
These centers serve as hubs for youth development, health, and sustainability, providing programs that nurture both the body and mind.
Our goal is to equip young people with the tools, education, and opportunities they need to lead healthier, more empowered lives.
Program Highlights (from brochure):
🌿 Farming Program ($40K Goal): Promotes food security through organic farming education, sustainable agriculture, and access to healthy food.
📚 Education Program ($10K Goal): Provides students with school supplies, internet access, uniforms, and family support for academic success.
⚽ Athletic Program ($10K Goal): Offers soccer and cricket teams for youth engagement, teamwork, and fitness.
🏗️ Building Fund ($40K Goal): Supports the completion of the center’s facilities — including classrooms, a kitchen, a library/conference room, and sports grounds.
